How to Participate
You have two options to participate*
1. Post your photos*
(up to five photos per person) on Instagram with the hashtag #FotoStavangerGloed and tag @stavangergloed by February 2, 2025, at 23:59 (CET).
2. Send your photos*
(up to five photos per person) to foto@stavangergloed.no by February 2, 2025, at 23:59 (CET).
*Images must demonstrate a connection to the Glød Light Festival 2025 in Stavanger and one of the light installations. Images of buildings/installations not participating in the Glød Light Festival 2025 will not be considered. By submitting an image, you consent to contest terms and conditions.

Participation
Individuals are eligible to participate. Each participant can submit a maximum of 5 photos.
The following images are excluded from participation:
- Submissions that are unrelated to the theme or violate common decency and/or are offensive.
- Contributions from individuals who provide false information about their identity.
- Contributions with advertising or PR content.
The participant agrees that the submitted image will be electronically stored. By submitting an image, the participant consents to all items in these participation terms and conditions.
The deadline for submitting entries is February 2, 2025, at 23:59 (CET), and it can be done in two different ways:
- Post your photos on Instagram with the hashtag #FotoStavangerGloed and tag @StavangerGloed
- Send your photos to foto@stavangergloed.no (up to 5 photos per person) with the subject “Photo Contest”
Images must demonstrate a connection to the Glød Light Festival 2025 in Stavanger and one of the light installations. Images of buildings/installations not participating in the Glød Light Festival 2025 will not be considered.
Nominees and winners will be contacted either on Instagram or via email. Participation is free of charge.
Technical Requirements
Submission on Instagram: Up to 5 photos per person.
Submission via email:
Up to 5 photos in high resolution format via email, as a WeTransfer link, or similar.
The photos sent via email must be named as follows: FIRSTNAME_LASTNAME_IMAGENAME
Collages are excluded (maximum one image per file). Furthermore, frames, graphic elements, text elements, and/or obvious image edits are not allowed.
Copyright and Privacy
The participant hereby assures:
a) that he/she is the personal and exclusive photographer of the submitted contributions, that he/she has unlimited usage rights for all images and parts of images.
b) that privacy rights are not violated in the depiction of individuals, and that the individuals depicted consent to publication in connection with the competition and reporting on the competition.
c) that the submission is free from third-party rights.
The participant indemnifies Glød Light Festival from any claims by third parties due to breaches of their rights in photographic material submitted by the participant.
Participation is open to anyone over the age of 18 (from the age of 12 with permission from a parent or guardian).
Usage Rights
The participant grants Glød Light Festival non-exclusive usage rights, unlimited in time, space, and content, including the right to edit the images for the festival’s media use, PR, and reporting on the festival (other media, print, and online).
Prizes and Announcement of Prizes
The winners will be selected from all eligible participants within 3 weeks after the submission deadline set by Glød Light Festival 2025. The announcement will be sent to the contact information provided at registration.

Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash.
Participants consent to having their names mentioned as the photographer of the image.
Privacy
Glød Light Festival, as the organizer, is responsible for the collection, processing, and use of participants’ personal data to the extent they process such data themselves. Information about the participant’s person and other personal information will only be used in accordance with applicable privacy laws. The information will only be stored, processed, and used to the extent necessary for the execution of the competition or if the participant has given their consent. This also includes use for the exercise of the granted usage rights. The participant can request information about the personal data stored about him or her at any time. Furthermore, the privacy policy found at https://www.stavangergloed.no/privacy
applies.
There is no possibility to complain about the conduct, rules, or conditions of the competition.
